Hehe. I work for the government. I've got time. :D

Dunno if you slogged thru my very long post about
Birmingham, AL., but that's the fountain I was talking
about that sits in the middle of "Five Points South"
in which the streets make a big upside down pentagram.
Interesting place. I'll be going back to Birmingham
soon, so I'll try to get more (and better pictures).

That is a good question. The short answer is: I don't
know. :D However, I can tell you that all of those
bits of text are real news stories (from Detroit,
actually). If I remember correctly, that bit about
"skinned-alive" comes from the home-owner doing the
complaining. So it could be that the dogs were dead
and severely injured from dog-fights (apparently
there's a ton of that in Detroit), and that's just the
woman's take on what happened.

That's the link for the thread from which I got all
the news stories. There are many equally as horrible,
I just picked one at random, the dogs I thought were
creepy, and the chainsaw one mentioned Elmore Leonard.
Mostly I was going for a flavor handout--trying to
get the whole "the world is shit and we're
responsible" feel down. I thought having it on the
notebook paper really added to the creepiness somehow.
Any other comments?
Jonathan
