Thank you all for your help and advice. I still think the instant-kill critical in hand-to-hand is a bit steep, if only because it means that one in fifteen successful attacks from an unskilled fighter will be fatal, but I get the point that something needs to balance hth against guns. I think I'll let it stand for the martial arts obsessed character, and modify it for everyone else.

And I'll play with the sanity system as it stands for a while at least, to see how it turns out before messing with it. I don't want to mess up the PCs too quickly after all.
