You could get into houses by climbing through windows.
Or knocking through walls. How does one define the
door-ness of a door? I'm thinking of the Odomancer
(road-based magick) write-up that was posted on this
list a couple of years ago. The taboo was to leave the
road, so you couldn't climb through a window, take a
short cut through a flower bed or escape across a
rooftop (shame the archives are dead). Perhaps it
would be possible to destroy a door's door-ness, so it
became a mere wall decoration. "Sure, you could walk
through that thing, I suppose. Never really occured to
me."
There's an old doorway around the side of my house
that used to lead to an outside toilet. Now it leads
to the cupboard under the stairs, or would do if it
wasn't plastered over. Could that be used as an
entrance to the Room or not?
