[UA] Madness

What about the paradigm skills, that allow you to reroll or something like
that.

Other than that, the easiest solution seems to make people with high mind
roll more frequently, not harder. The idiot doesn't have to roll because
he doesn't have the brains to come to the horrifying conclusion ('Sure,
Cthulu is going to devour the world, but we're in America.'). So, instead
of giving madness checks a level, give them a formula where x equals the
tens place of the mind stat. Or, more simply than that, point only to
people with the mind stats to comprehend for certin rolls.

But "Susan" is right; as is, it's difficult to credibly play a character with a Mind of less than 50, in a way that it isn't true for a low Body or Speed. Because while you can insulate yourself to a certain extent from physical violence, making the occasional Madness check is part of UA.
