Well, they would be 'Masomancers' basically. The problem of course is that charge accumulation has to be done in a ritualized way. Pure combat wouldn't be a ritual, unless it was a 'Fight Club', but of course having themselves beaten, peirced, tattooed, and otherwise phsycially tortured would be acceptable. Of course if they get themselves in the right frame of mind before entering combat, or being tortured for say information, things might be different, but I would probably make them take some kind of mind or soul skill to enter that state of mind 'Zen pain acceptance' maybe.

Now I'm thinking of an epideromancy variant that can ONLY get charges from
damage inflicted by other people. Taboo would be something like an
entropomancers... intentionally avoiding damage.
But that might be too powerful? Hmmm.....
