As below, so above.
> I will now be playing the Comte based on Walken.
The particular Walken performance implementation I'd use, by the
by, would be equal parts Johnny Smith (THE DEAD ZONE), Gabriel
(THE PROPHECY), his characters in THE KING OF NEW YORK and TRUE
ROMANCE, and my perception of how he'd play Willy Wonka, if
Burton chose him over Depp for the remake.
Now, onward...
Whoever mentioned Bill Mumy: inspired. Why should we limit these
roles to the big name movie guys? Can you all think of primarily
TV actors who might work well?
Mumy's a score. For B5 alumni, I'd nominate Andreas Katsulas and
Peter Jurasik, simply because they freaking rock. I'd like to
see Ed Wasser. Walter Koenig could work, especially as a Sleeper
chief.
Moving onto Walter's Star Trek buds, George Takei from the
original, maybe Frakes and Burton from Next Gen. Hmmm. While
Ving Rhames or Sam Jackson or Larry Fishburne are in that Alex
Able mode, I'd like to see Burton take a whack at it...
And for God's sake, Wil Wheaton. Sweet Jesus, he might be an
interesting take on a young Gambler avatar: he can talk the
talk, if not walk the walk.
Hm. Nancy McKeown and Mindy Cohn. Jason Bateman as Dermott
Arkane. Somebody find Donny Most for Jeeter. And Michael McKean
for Dirk Allen (think of his role on DREAM ON). Greg Gerstner
(sp?) from NED & STACY and ALLY McBEAL would be an interesting
cabal head. Tempest Bledsoe and Soleil Moon Frye as SotNG
agents.
And Andy Dick as the Freak.
