Why different rooms?  If you choose the right room, you could go the
"Man Who Was Thursday" route on them, and have them all secretly
working for the same group, sabotaging their group, but not realizing
it.  Then there's a moment where someone is revealed as a traitor, and
it unravels that they're all traitors.

Another way to use the House is to have some NPC taken by it, perhaps a
loved one, or perhaps an informant.
