Franco if I remember) during the Spanish Civil War.
The current thinking is that the Germans tested their
Blitzkrieg strategy. But was there something else they
needed?

As for the curved surfaces versus the angled surfaces
also symbolises a change in attitudes from the flat
space of Euclid and Newton to the curved space of
Einstein and Feynman. Now that space has all those
nooks and crannies, who knows what is scuttling in
there like ticks in blankets.

Also note that many curved, spherical buildings are
deemed to be built to sacred designs and geometry.
