RES: [UA] Really Weird Dream (city sentience)

In John Kennedy Toole's Confederacy of Dunces, New Orleans comes off as a 
sentient character. It's not an overtly UAble book, having nothing really to 
do with the occult, but it has this incredible UA vibe. All the characters 
are strange, yet human, and there's a pervasive sense of 'how does this 
story move forward with everyone so inept?' It's a great book.
