I like the idea of vocabulary change kabal. Maybe the change of vocabulary is required for a big ritual. In France we have an old (and senile) institution the "Academie Francaise" (French Academy) who is in charge for accepting new words in the french language. The academincian decide of the evolution of language and wether the kabal infiltrate the institution it would be a great source of power.
