Not Constantinople?
ObUA: I have an idea for a city based adventure (but I won't use Istanbul,
precisely because of the They Might Be Giants connection) where the city is
actually two cities overlaid each other. It is possible to transfer from
one city to the other without noticing (If you've got a date in
Constantinople she'll be waiting in Istanbul ...) or deliberately, if you
know the secret, and the story would take place over both. The first
objective is actually to realise what is going on - to work out that there
are two cities.
I like the idea of being in hot pursuit of the McGuffin, switching between
the two cities almost as a way to find shortcuts or to get away from the
people chasing you.
My only problem is that the people who play UA with me regularly are also
big Ars Magica fans, and so might pick up the similarities between this and
ArsM regios too quickly.
John.
