Yeesh, cut down the flames already. 8(

War is always a terrible time. I want to take this opportunity to tell
Norbert and everyone else on this list who has family, friends or
aquaintances involved in the war or in danger because of the war that I do
sincerely hope that they'll be all right.

I also want to thank the list for showing restraint and not falling for the
general accusation-throwing that has plagued some other (RPG and non-RPG)
related lists or websites that I frequent.

For the record, I am opposed to the war. However, while I generally feel
that the list members are a very intelligent and thoughtful bunch, the very
kind that I'd like to discuss the war and its reasons and circumstances,
I'll still agree with those that want to keep the list on-topic.

I have no desire to discuss a possible UA spin on the situation in Iraq.
Sometimes, as this list will certainly agree when remembering "Flight to
Heaven" and 9/11, truth is much scarier than fiction.

While it may seem unappropriate to continue with the usual in the face of
the events in the Gulf, I think it's the better alternative to filling up
the list with pro- or anti-war flamefests. Those will not bring both side
closer to a mutual understanding: the trenches have already been digged deep
through forums, lists and newsgroups.

I don't think that anything good will come from discussing the war on this
list.
