It's very simple. 

1) Mailing lists are created for discussing specific topics. This list
was created to talk about the Unknown  Armies roleplaying game.

2) UA list members are an intelligent and interesting bunch, and I'm
guessing that a good number of them are interested in discussing the
war, but that doesn't mean that they want to discuss it in THIS list.
There are a thousand forums in the net where the current war is a valid
topic. I'd suggest you go to one of them.
