In an upcoming Unknown Armies future-game (inspired by, but not entirely
modeled on, the sadly-not-hit show Firefly), I've considered using the
multipliers for firearms so I can use straight-add damage for "energy
weapons." That would both make firearms slightly less intimidating, and
make "energy weapons" the king of the battlefield. Then again, I also
like the "firearms and energy weapons, same shit different SFX" attitude.
Though that brings me to a question: some firearms have a "max damage"
listed extremely high (170 is the highest I remember seeing). Does this
mean that it'll normally do between 2 and 99 points of damage, with a
crit doing 170 (and no way to do any damage in between?) or is there
something else I'm missing...
