Depends what contract you have with your players.  My UA players know I'm 
running an experimental game - that I'll try new techniques of GMing on 
them, and sometimes it may not work. (Unescapable destiny sucks, for 
example.  At least, as far as my players go.)

If you have players who trust you, why not tell them each to make a 
character centered about a particular theme?  Depending on which ever Room 
you want to use, you can give them a theme. If you want to keep them all in 
the dark about each other, give them their themes in sealed envelopes and 
ask them not to share their theme with each other.

And then give them all the same theme.  It would be interesting to see how 
different minds would riff on the same concept.
