Bitchin'.

However, the statues aren't of Ceausescu, Princip or Lenin. And the
dealer, Sosnowski, isn't a dealer.

Sosnowski owns a large home near Fort Worth. At the end of every
month, and only at the end of every month, he visits the basement.
Opposite the entrance, there's a faded, white-painted wooden door,
propped against the wall. As Sosnowski enters, the white door rattles
as if someone had just bumped against it.

And somewhere in the dirt, dust and assorted mementoes of this history
buff, there's a new statue. It doesn't look new, as it'll be covered
with undisturbed dust, maybe an old hat, or some bundled chicken
wire. But it definitely wasn't there last month.

And though you might take one look at the statue of Lenin and guess
'It's Lenin', it's not. It might be Mikhael rather than Vladimir,
another Lenin from another parallel (or previous) history. You might
find a moustacheless Stalin, from a time when Russia joined the Axis.
You might find a statue of arch-dictator Johann Teins, Emperor of
The American Empire, or perhaps even a deft portrait of the oppressive
Pope William, formerly Toges.

Joe.
