A friend of mine recently approached me with an idea for a game in which
one player played a full character and the others played voices in his
head. We talked about it a little, and came up with a modified version in
which all the verious personalities could talk to each other, and to the
main character, and could temporarily assume control of the body given the
proper stimuli. It's now taken on a very Fight Club feel.
The goal of the game would probably be to remove the other personalities
by giving them physical manifestations. Originally my thought was that he
(they) could seek out the swapmeet. It would be fun to allow all the
various personalities to barter for what they wanted, too, before they get
separated.
This morning, I realized that if one personality became a powerful enough
mechanomancer, he could possibly split them up as well. I don't have
access to my UA books right now, and am only going by what I remember.
Would this in fact be possible? I fear that the campaign could be short
circuited by the mechanomancer building bodies for all the extra
personalities, and then animating them by giving up his memory of those
personalities.
Thoughts? Any other possible means of physically splitting them up that I
haven't thought of?
Thanks
jon
