I think it's mostly a reaction to changing diaper after diaper after diaper
after diaper.  But this is badly OT.

Now, what's relevant is an article from the Chicago Tribune Sunday
magazine: A first-person account of paranoid schizophrenia.  Scariest line
is a quote from her diary: "I haven't screamed all day.  I'm on a roll.
And it's delicious."

Living with a toddler?  Well, I guess it's not that much different from any
other room mate who thinks that squatting naked on the kitchen floor eating
pretzel sticks is a good way to start the morning.
