Alright here's the description of the last UA session I ran and the one that
banned me from running rpgs at the local game shop.

It was about the "invisible Hand" a severed hand of the man present when
Adam Smith ascended as the Merchant. I had a couple of players I knew but
the game was mostly a one shot demo for new players. Character creation
began as follows.

I announced that this scenario was going to be about a powerful magic item
that tends to atract wealth to itself and those who have it. Then I started
off by asking someone to create a character who would really want it. Names
have been changed since I don't remember a few names of the people I only
played with that once.

One guy, Rick, said he wanted it so his character could finance his Soldier
of Fortune mercenary squad. I said "no, this is a game about desperate
schemers in a world where occult shit really does happen." He said that he
was desperate to get his mercenary battalion outfitted nice, but I move on
to another player.

Jack (who plays DnD with Rick) pitched a character concept at me. A
motorcycle salesman who, due to having his head mechanic quit the service
department, was no longer an official Harley Davidson franchise. He'd
borrowed money from some mafia guys to get back on his feet selling Japanese
bikes, but they came to collect a month early.

When I asked how he'd know about the Invisible Hand Becky (who I play
Everway with) spoke up. Because his sister was into the occult scene and
got a tip about it in exchange for hooking a boozehound up with a
Confederatre canteen from the civil war.

Joe (who I also play Everway with) said he'd play the mafia guy who saw some
crazy mumbo jumbo and is willing to go along with Jack's scheme to get the
Invisible Hand.

Andy (who also plays DnD with Rick) plays a Kung Fu master who mainly
teaches kids about fitness. He's a cousin to Joe and doesn't approve of
Joe's ties to organized crime.

Derrick (who plays Champions mainly) makes a Kung Fu buddy of Andy's who
tours the nation giving seminars. His character is also kind of sweet on
Becky's character.

Julie (plays Champions with Derrick) makes a part time bounty hunter who has
a day job in a law firm as a clerk. Her character has a crush on Joe's
character and doesn't know about the organized crime connection.

Rick decides to play Julie's bounty hunting partner.

Already there are more players than I like dealing with. But we've got all
of Saturday to handle this.

Gah. I've got work to do. I'll finish this up later.
