Well, Iconomancy IS pretty much based on the worship of individual icons,
but as conduits for the power of fame. A person who was obsessed with a
particular famous personality, and who went through all the worship stuff
(retracing journeys, plastic surgery to look like the person, changing name
etc.) would be a very powerful Iconomancer, but with the ability to tap into
only one branch of power. Diversity is possible, though so you could be
midly reverant of a whole host of dead greats to try and tap into thier
power.

For a long time, I've been playing around with the idea of the John Lennon
obsessed iconomancer, who can channel noone else, but has access to a hell
of a lot of lennon power.
