The media in the US had been unkind to RPGs in the 80's,
and we survived. So I trust this will blow over in Brazil
too. But then, I don't think there was any serious
discussion of making RPGs illegal.

Hopefully, "discussion about a law" is just that.
Lawmakers tend to consider what sort of ramifications will
happen when they approve a law. I'm not sure how the
Brazilian legislature is. But the discussions may just be
some speculation that doesn't even involve the lawmakers.
Kind of like that proposed "bill" to commission a submarine
to sink riverboat casinos.

I'd hate to see RPGs banned in a country. Of course, you
could probably blow the hell out of it through loopholes.
Improvisational theatre would surely be immune, so you can
use that, I guess.

"Well, you take the freshly shaved rat, and you marinade it in a puddle for a while."
"Hmm, for how long?"
"Until it's drowned. Then you stretch it out under a hot light bulb, then you get within dashing distance of the latrine, and then you scoff it right down."
"So that's sauteing, and fricasseeing?"
"Exactly the same, just a slightly bigger rat."
