Shouldn't be too hard - just check out the way UA works in the Renaissance 
setting of "Ascension of the Magdalene". 

Also, about half a year ago on RPG.net, I did a conversion of some RISUS 
characters intended for a Lace & Steel Swashbuckler setting. Character creation 
worked like a charm and gave me and the guy who started the whole thread quite a 
good idea how the characters are actually like (that's what I always loved about 
UA character generation - it immediately gives you images of the character, and 
how he does things...). I played around with the Characters after that, trying 
this and that, and could not see any reason why UA would *not* work for the 
characters or the setting.
