[UA] Rules question about Avatar skills

I invert it anyway.  Most of my players have more than
a little power gamer in them and need their rewards
simple and plain.

I give people less Attribute points (usually about
100) and make all attributes pure defaults.  In other
words, you'd likely have 15-30% max in Body, Mind,
Speed and Soul, but you'd be able to roll against that
score for just about anything.  This default also
serves as the skill base for everything related to
that attribute.

In other words, if you had a 15% Soul, all your Soul
skills would be at 15%.  You would then distribute
skill points as normal, only adding them to the
Attribute base to form "specialties" (making it
possible that you've only one Soul Skill, like Avatar:
The Number Cruncher at 30%; that is, 15 base + all 15
Soul skill points.)  

I plan to use a very
similiar-yet-significantly-different system for a
scifi convention game I'm  tinkering with called
"Waking Mother."  It'll be just awful, but it ought to
work for me.
