The NCAA (www.ncaa.org) has a nifty infractions database which lists all the
penalties since 1953 (when the rules were established).
Problem is, New Jersey ain't known for its football powerhouses.
We do have Seton Hall University which, in 1975, got nailed for:
Extra benefits; improper recruiting entertainment, inducements and lodging;
excessive number of official visits; eligiblity; improper administration of
financial aid; unethical conduct; questionable practice.
but that was basketball.
Problem is, they don't let you search by state. Yahoo! lists 61 colleges
and universities in NJ, and only a handful of those are represented by the
NCAA.
