Now you're cookin'. The emotional element is really
what gives UA it's kick for me.

You know, I get down on White Wolf a lot, but I don't
really think it's a worse game or that UA is a better
one. It's just that UA is a much better game for ME
and this is one of the reasons.

Actually, I think UA is a better game for a lot of
people, but not for everyone. I think it's a good
game because I've seen it bring out the best in a lot
of players generally consensus had pegged as "rotten"
(myself included.)

It comes down to this attitude:

Okay, fine, you can be God Awfully powerful, if you
want; but it has to be an interesting kind of
powerful, powerful with a social impact; with an
attitude; with a feeling of barely suppressed, but
embraced falliability and then, yeah, you can shoot
holes out of people with your Mac-truck-stopping-power
magical handguns that hit upwards of 75% of the time
even if you've never fired a gun before and the air is
filled with more experienced gunmen's lead.

I'm not being sarcastic, here. I think the attitude
is important and, more than that, I think it's FUN.
And it's human, too, which is a nice plus.
