I have received half a dozen of those money-making e-mails from Africa in the last four weeks. Obviously the internet has now been discovered as a new vector of spreading the stuff. The mails come from various countries and tell different stories. My favourite came from Sierra Leone and claimed that the money was 'clean and honestly acquired on the black market for diamonds'.

When the internet was not so widespread and the WWW not even a wet dream we used to get those things per snail mail - our company way publishing music CDs from African artists back then, so that's where they got our address.
