[UA] LARPS

My relationship with LARPs is definitely best categorized as love-hate. It
has the benefit of adding more dynamic elements to a game than you could
possibly control in a table-top environment. It also lends itself to pretty
intense roleplaying, which I also take a big positive.
The down side, in my opinion is that people are, by and large, lazy. Sure,
you've got an area of several city blocks that make up the 'boundaries', but
people tend to clump in a single spot and not use the space available. If
not properly managed, the game essentially turns out to a table-top game
with different mechanics, which is played out in front of God and everyone.
But, there does tend to be a bit closer to gender parity, which is a nice
change.
