Vanilla was the first serious modern shot at the White Nigger archytype.
Michael Mathers has since usurped its Godwalker status, although some claim
it's actually a demon in his head that produces his stuff, and so he's not
as close to ascending as it might be imagined. This is where you get all of
the "Will the real Slim Shady stand up?" thing, and the claim, that it's
just a stage persona. Michael's slow fading into whiteness is part of a
long term counter-offensive.
