True, the Gardener certainly caught my interest
(especially since Being There is one of my favorite
films.)

I was thinking, though, given the recent message about
players seeking more "power" in UA games, maybe we
could toss around some violent archetypes.

I've had several players ask for more power in recent
games and, after questioning them further, it appeared
that they wanted a bit more muscle, a chance for
release through combat.

As I've said before, I think this longing for
bloodshed is some sort of symptom, one which perhaps
could have been prevented but now needs careful
management. We should develop a few tasty treatments
to at least ease our own suffering as we become
infected.

In the more insane realms of my mind, I can see warped
hollywood moguls, desperate and confused that the
aggression against yet another tiny far-off nation has
failed to provoke the gung-ho, scrimp-and-buy spirit
of the 1940s, mixing yet another alchemical formula to
induce US citizens to bloodlust. Then, at least,
their catamites like George Lucas, John Logan and
Courtney Solomon, can rope in some precious, precious
cash.

I'm reminded of the scene in 1984, where everyone's
shouting at the film "Dynamite the Bodies!"
