My players all really enjoyed "Fear and Loathing in
Los Vegas" and I've got some of them to read "Fear and
Loathing on the Campaign Trail" so they don't have a
problem with calling renegade freaks "dukes." (Most
of them are too young to know that the Duke character,
in Dunesbury, is based off Thompson, but that enhanced
the usage in my game, at least.)
The word "Avatar" gets flung around a lot, but adepts
are referred to as "magicians" more than anything
else. My epideromancer calls herself a "ghoul."
"Invisible Clergy" has started popping up, too. The
players call the OU "the Occult World" or "the -local-
magic community" for some reason.
I started out a campaign with rumours about the
sleepers, so that phrase turn shows up again and
again. Interestingly, although they've actually met
Eponymous, they don't get the TNI connection (he gave
them a business card from a TNI front company which
someone traced to TNI, but they think it's just a
puppet company.) They think Eponymous is a mob
enforcer (they used to think he was a cop.)
