As a tangentially related idea, all Vatican edicts must be published in
(Ecclesiastical) Latin, which makes things troublesome if the pope uses
words like 'stem cell research' or 'DVD player' in a bull. So there's a guy
who has to make up words, usually by building on previous terms, and make
sure they're grammatically tight.

Also--last night's Seinfeld highlighted the perils of the 'hand model.'
That's up there with 'food sculptors,' who must produce realistic,
mouthwatering look-alikes that will not wilt/melt under hot lights.
