We've only had 1 gun combat in about 10 sessions.  That was
when the TNI team were sent to assassinate a rival cabal
that were after something that TNI were after, and likely to
get there first. One of the team sat on a hilltop with a
sniper rifle (the character was ex-IRA and _very_ well
connected with the criminal fraternity.)  The cabal they
were facing had a variety of hand guns, but the TNI team got
in close and relied on their fire support to take out anyone
they couldn't deal with.

Amazingly, no one got shot (well, no one on the TNI team)
mainly because they scared the living daylights out of the
other team.  When one of your players manages to faze the
GM, I reckon it's fair to say the NPCs are rattled too.

The other time they had the chance to get into a gun battle
(in a kind of dream vision) even though they knew it wasn't
real) they still decided that discretion was the better part
of valour.
