It depends on how you interpret the whole "If you think about it, you've sinned as though you did it" idea.
I kinda got a kick out of the the frou fra fra this Christmas as the fundamentalists embraced the formerly hated Tolkien when faced with the infinitely more evil Harry Potter.

Neither Old nor New Testament say anything about it one way or the other.
