"Contrary to the ramblings of D&D defenders like Michael
Stackpole, the Necronomicon and the Cthulhu mythos are
quite real."

Bwahahaha! I love statements like that.

"…when he mocks the Necronomicon and claims it is entirely
fictional. It is not, and its use (even in part) has led to
the destruction of many young minds and souls. I have
personally watched it happen."

Well, maybe it's led to the destruction of $9.95 as some
clueless occultist buys the paperback black book with the
silly rituals.

"Now, admittedly, few people who play D&D actually intend
to do magic when they play. But I knew some who did, and
even today I have corresponded with people who were gamers
and also active magicians on the 'inner planes.' If you are
a gamer, you might be playing with such an individual."

Wow, chilling. I'm pretty frightened that the pimply-faced
geek across from me is an active magician on the inner
planes.

Hmm, we could have an RPG similar to the Vampire games. In
short, you are a true magician gaining power from RPGs.
What you do in a RPG actually affects one of your "realms
of power." So you role-play yourself in a RPG. Hmm,
probably sounds too much like Dream Park.
