[UA] [OT] Reference assistance

Hey, all

I'm considering restarting my UA Vegas campaign this year
(http://www.eyeballkid.co.za/blies.html), but setting it in 1971 this time, as a
possible prelude to the rather odd events of the first run. What I'm looking for
is a guide to reading on the US and Vegas in that year, ideally with some kind
of day-by-day almanac section where I can see what sports events are likely to
be on the TV at any given time, what's big in the news, etc. - obviously, with a
UA/occult.counterculture slant to it, if possible. Preliminary research at
amazon, barnes & noble and scholar's bookshelf has not produced the flood of
results I had anticipated, so... any ideas from US readers on this list in terms
of titles or series?
