[UA] A thantomancer loose in London?

A journalist friend from the Independent had a long talk with me some time
ago about 'witch doctors' in African communities here, the use of folk
medicine, and the degree of power they still held over some people. This
poor grisly case would make an interesting red herring for PCs; they
investigate and discover that there's nothing 'supernatural' involved, just
superstition and sadism. (I admit, the first thing I thought when I read
the story was 'Jesus, life mirrors Call of Cthulhu') This ties into a long
standing principle of mine; any occult horror you can dream up for a game or
story is *nothing* compared to the things that happen in real life.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired
signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed,
those who are cold and not clothed." - Eisenhower
