Hm... I think that a rogermancy story would need to essentially be about
grief and mourning and how we do it.
What might be an interesting (and accurate) twist is that as time passes,
the "rogers" produced are less like the real Roger and more like the
idealized Roger that the increasingly obsessed mourner remembers. The
solution (after things get bad enough) is to forcibly remind the
rogermancer that, no, while the original Roger was a swell guy, he wasn't
any kind of paragon.
