I live in a small town in Scotland (Stirling) which goes back about 1600
years, as far as I know. Used to be a Roman settlement. There's a lot of old
churches and that sort of thing. Very picturesque. Very old.

Similarly, while playing a game of Cthulhu (set in a monstery), the bells of
the church outside were used as cues by the GM. It got very spooky, very
quickly.
