The NYT is good, yup.
I also subscribe to The Guardian, as I'm another liberal living in the UK.
:)
Apart from newspapers, though, I find my best source for wacky ideas are
places like Plastic ( www.plastic.com ) and Slashdot (
http://slashdot.org/ ). Talented people (and a lot of arseholes) post
stories they find interesting, which are then discussed. And Slashdot has
Wil Wheaton on it.
Plastic covers a lot of topics, /. is mostly techie.
