Hmmm. Semantics (and semiotics) brings us neatly back to Eco,
who deserves a "special thanks" credit in UA2 as much as anyone.

Interesting. I've never read (Robin) Lakoff, but I've read
(George) Lakoff... who I believe is her husband? Either way,
they're both on faculty at Berkeley.
