Oops, another music thread! And only a few days ago someone declared this list
to be one without cyclic topics... 8)

Honestly, I've no idea. One man's dead-on UA reference is another man's
flamebait. Me, for example, I don't quite see the UAness of Beck's "Loser"...

Anyway, I always felt the early Sonic Youth (especially the albums "Bad Moon
Rising", "Evol" and "Sister"), Unwound, and the Butthole Surfers were perfect
inspirational material for their sometimes surreal, wierd lyrics and music. They
make quite good background music, too. Check out Sonic Youth's almost-fully
instrumental "Made in America"-Soundtrack, which has a few eerie tracks and some
tracks that sound a bit like a musical clock (which I used for a
mechanomancer-heavy plotline).

Then again, I think I remember some people on the list using rave music and Mano
Chao, so it's obviously a mileage issue.

Have a nice day!

P.S.: Oh yeah, and there was the swedisch "International Noise Conspiracy", who,
IIRC, prompt their listeners to write "This will be the death of you" on every
single bill they had in one of their songs. If that's not something plutomantic,
I don't know what is... 8)
