[UA] [OT] The Tower

I've been feeling disturbed and bored recently, so I decided to
haul out The Gimp and patch together a tarot card I haven't been
able to get out of my head since September 11. A lot of ink (and
bits) have been spilled over this correspondence in the past few
months, but I haven't seen anyone put together a card using
imagery from that day. So:

My Gimp job is a little sloppy, but I just needed to concretize
the image that's been knocking around in my head.

The Tower, of course, has the following meanings, as quoted from
http://www.newage-directory.com/tower.html:

The card recommends a questioning of previously accepted beliefs.

...

Sometimes the card warns of catastrophe, normally through forces
of nature, that can cause the loss of home or other miseries.

...

No matter what the issue that the Tower describes, it always
indicates a period of restoration, healing, and renovation with
major internal change, restructuring and burning out of what is
false and rigid.

It suggests a time for healing and restoring oneself through
diet, exercise, excursions in nature, and inner work.

It is also a "timing card" pointing to the fact that the time has
come to make strides to overcome difficulties. This card speaks
of tyranny and injustice which can be overcome only with
recognition, focus, and commitment.

In general, I'm not a great adherent of new-age spiritual
practice. But I just kept getting freaked out by the close
symbolic correspondence in this case. That, and perhaps my
imminent move to New York this week, have been weighing on my
mind... and I've had too much time on my hands. I thought the
list might be interested in playing around with the images and
ideas.
