RES: [UA] Pop Culture Update

You know...i really dont want to have a big that takes the lower part of the
bed in the same cell, and i reffered to "big brother". Doesnt seens to be a
health thing... :)

But pop culture have some really cool and weird things happening along of
its lines. Im still deciding what my graduation paper will be about, and one
of the possible options is that: "Graphical Violence in Post-Modern Media, a
study". Basicly, i will try to understand why ppl enjoy to have violence
throw in their faces, but not the usual violence, instead, the focus will be
aesthetic one. Like why piercing, scarring, and even SM stuff comes now so
much easily through media, and is so widely accepted.

What this all have to do with UA. Very little...if not for the same
ressonance of violence mixed with humor and ritualistic properties we see in
other entertaiment products. UA, Puppetland, Tribe 8, Kindreed of the East,
Delta Green, Kult...they all make the characters of it to share an sense of
destruction, self destruction, and ultimattely fun, all mixed on them. The
madness, destruction of its bodies,  self, and all this in the respect of
sending some kind of message to other individuals, like an very complex
iconization of the being.

And that iconization, using even some degree of self perversity, is a new
change in how ppl comunicates socially. Of course, all aspects have been in
existence before, but in subgroups, even marginalized. Fashion, culture,
media, are assimilating then. The body nihiilism. Crash.

Ok, im going too far. :)
