It sounds like it should work, but it violates the idea that you can't get
magick from magick. This is like getting three wishes and using your first
wish to wish for fifty more wishes.
Now, if you were running UA in a more mythic "Game balance? We don' need
no steenkin' game balance!" style, maybe.
