I vote Black & Whites, it somehow seems more
postmodern and always adds a touch of class
(especially if you're going to work photographs into
the art.)
Muted reds, browns and "urban" colors would also work
(much like you used in the 'mancy backgrounds.)
Actually, if you could do the Tarot like you did those
backgrounds, I'd fall all over myself to get ahold of
it.
Maybe a good way to do the Tarot would be to use
indistinct figures: The lovers would have two shadows
and Strength would just be the highlights of a face...
like all the cards were cloth laid over the invisible
world... with bits and peices of meaning pushing to
get through (but not quite making it.)

I've seen both the Mage Tarot and the Werewolf Wild
West poker deck. They both lack a unity of expression
which makes most artistic decks worth collecting.
That used to make me sad, back when I liked the big
double double-ya.
