Yeah, I remember the Good Old Days when James was a regular poster on
the list <sigh>. Pass the port.

An idea for "Ragged Armies", UA in the 18th century (I think) was
thrown around a way back on the list
(http://lists.uchicago.edu/pipermail/ua/1999-September/004492.html is
where it all began). I'd quite like to see if any of this rampant
speculation actually got anywhere (hint hint).
