Actually, eyewitness testimony from the cook at the Obersalzberg (sp?)
shows that Hitler wasn't a vegetarian. OTOH, Himmler was in later years,
and the similarity in names (and Himmler's lesser infamy) have led to the
confusion.

I can think of worse job descriptions. Good ol' pate fois gras -- I'd give
it a whirl, except the liver isn't exactly my favourite organ; I almost
died of liver failure as a child, and I've been trying to poison it to
death ever since. #%o)

Perhaps an irascimantic chicken farmer who keeps battery hens because their
environment keeps them naturally strung out? When he needs a charge, he
just pokes a few of them with a big stick.
Actually, I've been wondering how effective it would be to use animals to
charge up from. One UA campaign idea that I've had includes a group of
ivory poachers with a thanatomancer who gains charges from elephant
kills. Would animal thanatomancers get more charges from killing a
particularly rare beast? How about famous animals? Could someone, say,
get a major charge from putting a bullet in Lassie? #%o)

"'Kevin,' David interrupted, 'what the Germans should have done
was show the Russians a dead cat and ask them to explain it.'
"'That would have stopped the Soviet offensive right there,' I said.
"Zhukov would still be trying to account for the cat's death.'"
