Locker-room lore would have it that nymphomaniacs are sex-obsessed vixens,
constantly yearning for as many inches of man-flesh as they can get their
lips on (snigger, snigger).

The reality is somewhat different. Most nymphomaniacs come from one or two
backgrounds. On the one hand, they may have been abused by their mothers,
and their fathers were either absent or too weak-willed to prevent the
abuse. On the other, they could have been sexually abused by a
father-figure during childhood. Either way, nymphomaniacs look for a
father-figure of some sort, and their self-esteem is so low that the only
worth that they believe that they have to men is to provide sex. As such,
they're always trying to prove their "worth" to men around them. Sounds
like a guy's dream come true, right?

Not so. Imagine, for instance, that you're putting the final touches on a
project and your job depends on getting it done. She comes onto you, and
you tell her that you have to get this finished; it'll only be ten minutes
or so.  Most women would be willing to wait.  A nymphomaniac wouldn't;
you've just rejected her and completely nullified her self-worth. To her
it seems that you no longer love her. You can probably expect a screaming
match, emotional blackmail, stronger advances, or some combination of the
three. She will become extremely emotionally demanding.

On the other hand, she may just go out and find another man, someone who
"really does love her". The next guy who's nice to her gets to be her next
fixation, and the cycle repeats itself. Often, the only stable
relationships that they find are abusive; they start to feel "needed" by
their abuser and Stockholm Syndrome sets in. Often, they will turn to
drugs to deaden the pain of their existence. There are few greater
tragedies in modern life than that of the nymphomaniac.

Personally, I think that nymphomania would be a good description of the
Naked Goddess' pre-Ascension condition. I agree that Daphne Lee's "find
the Goddess in you" schtick is inaccurate; the Sect's line seems to be
feminine empowerment through sex, whereas nymphomania represents the
ultimate in feminine submission. A line more appropriate to the Naked
Goddess herself would be "aspire to become the lowest turd on the dung-heap".

You've deconstructed the WECHBY quite well, IMO, but there's one thing that
still needs to be addressed: why "But You"? Why can't You have the
WECHBY? Are You the one man that will make her feel whole again, the one
man that'll fill the hole in her heart, keep her safe and love her for all
her flaws, the one man who can end her eternally degenerate cycle of love
and rejection?

My guess is that You'll never find out.

"'Kevin,' David interrupted, 'what the Germans should have done
was show the Russians a dead cat and ask them to explain it.'

"'That would have stopped the Soviet offensive right there,' I said.
"Zhukov would still be trying to account for the cat's death.'"
