Speaking of semiotics, at the sandwich shop yesterday I met a girl wearing a 
shirt that read "the signifier and the signified have been irrevocably 
severed"

When I commented on the cool shirt she said "Hot Topic was out of shirts 
that read POP STAR so I figured I'd make one that said the same thing."  
When I asked if she really made the shirt just so she could deliver that 
line she blushed.  We made small talk about situationism (including the 
irony that situationism was used to mediate our interactions) and went on 
our ways though the proprietor confided that we were both regulars that just 
came in at different times.
