Actually, in my upcoming UA campaign, this is exactly the
CoNG.  The NG tape, and the NG herself are fictional
creations of Daphne Lee, to get some mystic power.  She was
more surprised than anyone else by the fact that Pornomancy
works.

See, whenever I'd mention some setting element in passing,
one player would ask about it.  I'd put forth three or four
rumors about it, and in the case of the NG tape, the last
rumor I suggested was that it didn't exist.  The player's
immediate (in character) reaction was "Well, I don't believe
that", which made me decide that the NG tape had to be
fictional.

There's some other bits that I'm messing with, or will if
the players figure out the various mysteries too quickly. 
Or will if the last player ever finishes her character.
